The WHO has published its first global report on physical inactivity, reporting that over 80% of adolescents and approximately 27% of adults do not achieve the recommended levels of physical activity.
The WHO Global Action Plan on Physical Activity provides 20 policy recommendations countries may enact to reduce the prevalence of physical inactivity, including national communication campaigns, infrastructure assessment, and promoting physical activity in the workplace and childcare.
