CDC: Number of Measles Cases Continues to Rise
The CDC has reported that there have been 78 new confirmed cases of measles in the US as of April 4, 2019.
This brings the total confirmed cases in 2019 to 465, up from 387 one week ago.
Overall, 19 states have reported at least 1 case, and since the last report, Michigan has been added to the list of states with 3 or more cases.
In their last update, the CDC noted that the outbreaks were linked to travelers returning from countries where large measles outbreaks are occurring, including Israel, Ukraine, and the Philippines.
